TOO-MUCH-NESS
I fainted twice in the grocery store here in Mexico City.
I called a friend I wouldn’t usually call in an emergency, sent you some messy thoughts about work ethic, and spent a full morning lying in the dark.
By the time I emerged, something had shifted.
I’m experiencing clarity after taking a big risk in love.
And now, I’ve realized how often I’ve been shrinking myself.
I’ve been hiding the full scope of who I am—the founder of Medicine Cabinet Radio, a death doula, a global authority in the making, and a facilitator of transformations, sparking game-changing conversations.
I’ve been hiding my decade-long vision about the future of work, migration, and class—and how my being here in Mexico City connects to it.
I hid from a lover that I’m like, literally, a boss, even though I am a self proclaimed recovering workaholic. Because I was afraid to admit that I actually like my work ethic, and I love what I do.
In a conversation with someone dear to me, I hid that I’m the guide she’s been searching for—the one who, when hired, could absolutely change her life.
I hid from you that Medicine Cabinet Radio is not a newsletter or a podcast finding its legs on Substack.
But no more.
Ten days ago, I wasn’t standing fully in this knowledge. I was still holding onto outdated ways of showing up—writing what has been interpreted as Substack articles.
If you’ve been reading my emails and thinking, ‘I like this, but what exactly is she building?’—let me clear the air. I don’t just write; I facilitate.
I’m a writer, yes, but Medicine Cabinet Radio isn’t a podcast or a newsletter.
It’s a companion for living—a support system to help you navigate your days, create meaningful change, and become the person you dream of being.
Last night, I reclaimed Medicine Cabinet Radio’s essence: presence. It’s not about creating content; it’s about facilitating transformational experiences.
When you invest in Medicine Cabinet Radio, whether by subscribing or becoming a Sutra Club member, you’re not just getting emails.
You’re investing in your growth, your ability to navigate life’s hardest and most meaningful questions, and your connection to a supportive community that’s doing the same.
Subscribing to Medicine Cabinet Radio isn’t about consuming more; it’s about being more, through powerful conversations, authentic relating, and the courage to live with presence.
This isn’t a transactional relationship; it’s a transformational one. I’m here to help you live with presence—not through quick fixes, but by guiding you through the high-stakes conversations that shift how you live, love, and leave your mark.
✨ Too-much-ness be damned.✨
I’m shifting, and I’ve already seared away subscribers. I am no longer writing, at length, “on Substack” as you might’ve previously understood it.
You’ll still get emails from me—essentially a newsletter, but an extension of Medicine Cabinet Radio, not an essay or an article. I know this shift isn’t for everyone and may sound like a meaningless distinction.
It’s a risk and unorthodox to declare this space, and some people won’t fully get it. But if you choose to stay, I believe it’s because evolution doesn’t scare you—and my intensity doesn’t offend you—and I’m so glad you’re here.
